Hydrants will be flushed throughout the township during the hours of 10 PM to 6 AM, beginning at 10 PM on Sunday evening and concluding at 6 AM on Friday morning each week.
Please check to be sure that you do not have discolored water before washing clothes or running your dishwasher. Simply run the cold water in your sink (do not use hot water) for 1 to 2 minutes, fill a clear glass and observe the clarity.
If water is not clear, continue to run the water until it clears up, usually 15 minutes or less.
If your clothing becomes stained by discolored water after washing, DO NOT PUT THE CLOTHES IN THE DRYER. Call the Utility at (856) 488-7450 and we can provide you with a detergent that may remove the discoloration free of charge.
The flushing program should conclude on or around April 27th.
