Maple Shade Utilities received several calls for “brown water” – Our investigations determined that field work was performed by PSE&G utilizing jackhammers on Sunset Avenue. This activity likely resulted in vibration of the ground and water distribution pipes which resulted in the “brown water” for the surrounding area. If you experienced brown water around this street on the 22nd, it likely was attributed to this activity. If you continue to have brown water, please call the Maple Shade Water Department. We understand the inconvenience this causes and are working to improve the system.
